On Almost n-Layered QTAG-modules

We define the notion of almost $n$-layered $QTAG$-modules and study their basic properties. One of the main result is that almost 1-layered modules are almost $(omega+1)$-projective exactly when they are almost direct sum of countably generated modules of length less than or equal to $(omega+1)$. Some other characterizations of this new class are also established.

Selective and low temperature transition metal intercalation in layered tellurides

Layered materials embrace rich intercalation reactions to accommodate high concentrations of foreign species within their structures, and find many applications spanning from energy storage, ion exchange to secondary batteries. Light alkali metals are generally most easily intercalated due to their light mass, high charge/volume ratio and in many cases strong reducing properties. An evolving ar...

On homometric sets in graphs

For a vertex set S ⊆ V (G) in a graph G, the distance multiset, D(S), is the multiset of pairwise distances between vertices of S in G. Two vertex sets are called homometric if their distance multisets are identical. For a graph G, the largest integer h, such that there are two disjoint homometric sets of order h in G, is denoted by h(G). We slightly improve the general bound on this parameter ...

Multinary group identification

Group identification refers to the problem of classifying individuals into groups (e.g., racial or ethnic classification). We consider a multinary group identification model where memberships to three or more groups are simultaneously determined based on individual opinions on who belong to what groups. Our main axiom requires that membership to each group, say the group of J’s, should depend o...

Layered germanium tin antimony tellurides: element distribution, nanostructures and thermoelectric properties.

In the system Ge-Sn-Sb-Te, there is a complete solid solution series between GeSb2Te4 and SnSb2Te4. As Sn2Sb2Te5 does not exist, Sn can only partially replace Ge in Ge2Sb2Te5; samples with 75% or more Sn are not homogeneous. The joint refinement of high-resolution synchrotron data measured at the K-absorption edges of Sn, Sb and Te combined with data measured at off-edge wavelengths unambiguous...
